Saudi Public Assistance for Pakistan Earthquake Victims handovers 1.5m SR relief goods to DG IIRO for Baluchistan flood affectees
Islamabad, November 3rd, 2007: Saudi Public Assistance for Pakistan Earthquake Victims handovers 1.5m SR relief goods to DG IIRO for Baluchistan flood affectees in a ceremony held in Islamabad.
Deputy Regional Director, Saudi Public Assistance for Pakistan Earthquake Victims (SPAPEV) handed over the documents of relief goods of worth 1.5 million Saudi Riyals to Director General International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) for distribution among Baluchistan flood affectees.
In this program, Honorable Minister for Railway, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Chairman National Disaster Management Authority, Lt.Gen. (Retd) Farooq Ahmed, His Excellency, Ali Awadh Asseri, Saudi Ambassador were present.

It is pertinent to mention here, that the Emergency relief work was started in Pakistani affected areas on the orders of King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz who pledged to release over 500 million US dollars to revive the normal life of Pakistani quake affected people.
